Ehab El-Tokhy

Egypt, 1977

Ehab was born in Cairo in 1977. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Sculpture Department (2001) and holds a Master’s Degree in Sculpture (2008) and a Ph.D. in Philosophy of Arts (2014). Ehab has taught at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University between the years 2008 and 2019. He has been a member of the Fine Artists Syndicate since 2001.
Throughout his journey as an artist, Ehab has participated in over 25 group exhibitions and art fairs including ones that were held at Helwan University (1998-2000), Al-Sawy Culture Wheel (2002), Al-Gomhoreya Theatre (2002), Museum of Modern Art (2008), Palacio del Príncipe Taz (2012-2013), Cairo International Fair (2019), Easel & Camera Contemporary Art Gallery (2020) among others, and his latest local group exhibition was held back in 2021 at El-Mashrabya Hall. He also participated in international group exhibitions in Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan.
Ehab has hosted 15 art workshops at several art institutions, universities, and symposiums between the years 2001 and 2020. He was given many art awards including ones from Suzan Mubarak (1998) and Helwan University (1998, 1997). Multiple works of his can be found at the VIP lounge at Cairo International Airport and the Ministry of Renewable Energy along with a university in Damascus. Collectibles of his can be found locally at the French Embassy, Arab Basket Ball Confederation, Museum of Contemporary Art, Capital Business Park and internationally in Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Turkey.
