Mohamed Radwan

Egypt, 1970

Mohamed is an Egyptian Sculptor who was born in 1970 in Cairo. He holds a master’s degree (2000) and a PhD (2006) from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Sculpture‏ ‏Department, Helwan University. Mohamed currently works as an Assistant Professor and Head of Sculpture Department at Helwan University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Sculpture Department.
Mohamed has participated in numerous group exhibitions between the years 1991 and 2019 both inside and outside Egypt. Some of his group exhibitions include Youth Salon (1991 and 1992), Biennale of Port Said (1994), National Exhibition, Cairo (1997, 2001 and 2010), Salon of Small Format, Cairo (1997-1998 and 2001), 2nd Iron Sculpture Exhibition, Italy (2003), “Testimonials 2003”, Greece (2003) among many others at the Egyptian Academy of Fine Arts in Rome (2003-2004), Gallery Khan al Maghraby, Cairo (2005), Sculpture Salon of Noble Materials (2005), Mashrabeya Art Gallery, Cairo (2008), Horizon One Gallery, Cairo (2008), Contemporary Egyptian Sculpture, Belgrade (2009), Contemporary Egyptian Sculpture, Qatar (2012), Beirut Art Fair (2018), most recently, Cairo Art Fair (2019).
Recent solo exhibitions of his include “Line in Space” exhibition at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Giza (2013) and “World” exhibition at Karim Francis Contemporary Art Gallery, Cairo (2015). Alongside his list of group and solo exhibitions, Mohamed took part in various symposiums including The18th Changchun International Sculpture Symposium in China (2017), Morges International Symposium in Switzerland (2013), Nanto Petra International Sculpture Symposium in Italy (2003) and many others. Mohamed was given the State Prize of Artistic Creativity in Egypt in 2003 and again in 2004.
