Mostafa Rahma

Egypt, 1937

Mostafa was born in Dakahlia, Egypt in 1952. He is a self-taught artist who pursued an artistic career without walking the path of obtaining an art degree.
He has worked as a cartoonist and a caricaturist in several magazines including “Maged” and “El-Ethad” the Emirati magazines, as well as the Egyptian “Sabah El-khier”. Mostafa has participated in numerous local group exhibitions including ones that were held at Droob Hall (2012-2014), Art Corner Gallery (2013), Picasso Art Gallery (2015-2021) and Art Mart Gallery.
Throughout his career as an artist, Mostafa was given several awards from different art institutions in Egypt (2004), Abu Dhabi (1996), Al-Sharjah (1994) and Saudi Arabia (1992) among others. Collectibles of his can be found locally at Cairo Opera House and internationally at the Arab World Institute in France. Others of his works are among the private collections of individuals in Egypt, London, Paris and Germany.
