Taha El-Kourany was born in Giza in 1965. He graduated from the Faculty of Applied Arts, Décor Department and holds a Master’s Degree in Décor. Taha taught between the years 1995 and 1997 at the Faculty of Specific Education and has been an art consultant to various Egyptian TV shows and newspapers including Al-Ahram, Al-Akhbar, Al-Fajr and Al-Gomhoriya newspapers.
He is famous for his outstanding murals, some of which can be found at Sinai University and others that have been taught at various universities across the Middle East including Egypt. He has been a guest of honor in many art fairs and conferences in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, France, Italy and Tunisia.
Taha has held over 30 solo exhibitions over the years (1990-2019) both inside and outside Egypt. He exhibited his work in UAE, Saudi Arabia, and across Egypt in Port-Said, Cairo, Tanta, and Alexandria among other cities. In addition to his list of solo exhibitions, he has also participated in over 50 art fairs in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. Taha has hosted various art workshops in the Faculty of Art Education in Zamalek, Al-Azhar University and University of 6th October (2015-2016) among other workshops in different art institutions.
Collectibles of his can be found in Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Ministry of Culture (France), Ministry of Education (Kuwait), Museum of Arts (Athens), Industrial Bank (Spain), Opera House (Egypt) and the National Museum of Saudi Arabia.
